May 15, 2023 – Top Bahadur will be taken to court today for extension.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who was recently arrested in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees, will be taken to the District Court today for an extension. Rayamajhi, who was arrested from a place called Pasikot of Budhanilkanth municipality on Sunday evening, was taken to Kathmandu premises on Sunday itself. The police are preparing to take his statement for some time before taking him to the district court after examining his health today.

Although the arrest warrant was issued, he was arrested only on Sunday while he was absconding. Earlier, 12 people including former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, incumbent Secretary Teknarayan Pandey and others have been arrested in this case.
