May 28, 2023 – Cabinet meeting: Recommendation to President to grant amnesty to Resham Chaudhary.
The government has recommended to President Ramchandra Paudel to grant amnesty to Resham Chaudhary. Minister of Communications Rekha Sharma said that the cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to recommend amnesty and release of imprisonment to Chaudhary and other prisoners.
She said that on the occasion of Republic Day, amnesty was recommended along with the rest of her sentence.
