He was born on April 13, 1969 in Dahachok, Thankot, Kathmandu, Nepal. His father’s name is Tilak Ram Giri and he was worked as an officer in Agricultural Bank Limited. and mother’s name is Saraswati Giri.
Deepak Raj Giri’s father wanted him to have a permanent job, but his interest was in becoming an actor, which his parents didn’t accept. After some time, his father applied for a police job on his behalf. However, Deepak escaped from the police training and embarked on shaping his artistic future.
Career:
Deepak Raj Giri, who had escaped from police training, tried his luck in a radio program with Deepa Shree Niraula. This was their first meeting. In the radio program, Deepak Raj Giri portrayed the character of “Ram Bilash,” while Deepa Shree Niraula portrayed the character of “Dhaniya.” This marked the first meeting and the beginning of the now-iconic duo.
Later, he got an opportunity to try his luck in a serial named “Twakka Tukka,” playing a minor role. Afterward, he decided to take a more serious approach and thought of creating good TV programs and scripts. Eventually, NTV accepted his series, and then this TV Serial, “Tito Satya,” became a super hit.
He also appeared as an actor in movies like “Sundar Meo Naam,” “Chor,” and “Nepal,” but these films did not achieve remarkable success. After the conclusion of “Tito Satya,” Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula collaborated to create a movie titled “Chha Ekan Chha.” The film starred Deepak Raj Giri himself, along other more popular artist. This movie turned out to be a massive hit at the box office, which further motivated them for future projects. Up to the present, Deepak Raj Giri has been involved in films such as “Wada Number Cha,” the “Chakka Panja” series, and “Shatru Gate.” All of these films have performed exceptionally well in terms of box office success.
