Janaki Temple (जानकी मन्दिर) is a Hindu temple in Janakpur, Nepal, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sita. It is an example of Hindu-Koiri Nepali architecture. It is often considered the most important model of Koiri architecture in Nepal.

Mainly people Visit there in special Biggest fair (Mela) of Hindus festival “Vivah Panchami, RamNavami, Dashain – Tihar and Chhath”.

History of Janaki Mandir:

The cost for the construction of the temple was Rs. Nine Lakhs, hence the name. Queen Vrisha Bhanu of Tikamgarh, India built the temple in 1910 AD. Janki Mandir is also known as the Nau Lakha Mandir. Because Janaki Mandir was costing Rs 9 Lakhs.
