While studying engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Vicky Kaushal realized he wasn’t interested in a typical office job. This led him to pursue acting, so he enrolled at Kishore Namit Kapoor’s academy. Vicky practiced theatre for two years but struggled to land significant roles. He honed his skills with groups like Manav Kaul’s Aranya Group and Naseeruddin Shah’s Motley Productions. Despite many auditions and efforts, success was elusive. However, in 2011, he finally acted in his first theatrical production, “Lal Pencil,” marking the start of his acting career.
Vicky Kaushal put in tremendous effort at Kishore Namit Kapoor’s academy and in theatre, but he still struggled to land significant film roles. In 2012, he decided to broaden his experience by working as an Assistant Director on the film Gangs of Wasseypur under the renowned director Anurag Kashyap. During this time, Vicky gained valuable insights and skills from Kashyap, which helped shape his future in the industry.
