Aasif Sheikh (आसिफ शेख) is a Nepalese cricketer, who plays as right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. He made his debut for Nepal against Netherlands in April 2021. Aasif Sheikh was born on 22 January 2001 in Murli, Birgunj, Nepal. Apart from the national team, Aasif Sheikh plays cricket for the APF club. Aasif is the first Nepali player to score a half-century against India in Asia cup 2023.

Aasif Playing Career:
Aasif Sheikh plays for Panchakanya Tej in the Everest Premier League. He scored an unbeaten 111 runs in the final of the 2016 Everest Premier League, leading his team to win the first EPL title. He was the highest run-scorer in the tournament, scoring 202 runs in 6 matches.
In 2018, he led the Nepali U-19 cricket squad in the Quadrangular cricket tournament in India. Subsequently, he was designated as the skipper of the Nepali national U-19 cricket team for the 2018 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. He also played for the U-19 squad in the 2019 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.
He had been selected as a member of the 18-player national squad for the T20I series against Qatar, but the trip was ultimately canceled due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Qatar. Then after Asif was selected for the 15-member national squad for the 2020-21 Nepal Tri-Nation series and made his T20I debut against the Netherlands. He scored an unbeaten half-century and shared a partnership of 116 runs for the first wicket, helping Nepal secure a 9-wicket victory. In the second game against Malaysia, he scored 42 runs and partnered with opener Kushal Bhurtel to achieve another century stand. He amassed a total of 154 runs in the series.
In August 2021, Asif was named in Nepal’s One-Day International (ODI) squad for the series against Papua New Guinea in Oman. He was also included in Nepal’s squad for the 2019-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 competition’s sixth round in Oman. On September 7, 2021, he made his debut in One-Day International cricket for Nepal against Papua New Guinea. In March 2023, Asif scored his first century in One-Day International cricket during a match against Papua New Guinea.

Aasif Sheikh completed his School Leaving Certificate (SLC) from Vidhya Sadan Secondary School, Mulri Birgunj and 12th From National Infotech College Birgunj. He completed his Graduation from Kathmandu.
